The Global Electromagnetic Spectrum Information System (GEMSIS) Training Plan provides a guide to manage the training for all GEMSIS capabilities. Training is defined as the transfer of
knowledge required for users to successfully utilize the capabilities. This training plan outlines the training approach and methodology for GEMSIS capabilities throughout the life-cycle.
The GEMSIS Program Management Office (PMO) undertook an effort to develop a high-level training strategy based on defense acquisition guidelines and in accordance with DOD Directive 1322.18, Military Training, 13 January 2009. GEMSIS training will be conducted using the most effective method for the particular requirement (e.g., computer-based training, mobile training team, formal schoolhouse training). The goal of this strategy is to maintain project-related plans and associated processes that will be implemented to help drive standardization of project management practices throughout the organization
